Your Knife, My Heart A Dark Military Romance Set in the World of Leave Me Behind (Dark Forces Book 1)

Bei diesem Buch handelt es sich um eine Dark Military Romance ab 18 Jahren. Ich werde keine Leseempfehlung aussprechen und möchte an dieser Stelle auch auf die Trigger- und Contentwarnungen hinweisen, die ihr bitte vorher lesen solltet. Nun zu meiner Rezension: Die Autorin hat das Buch beschrieben mit Hunger Games x Call of Duty und das ist glaube die beste grobe Beschreibung die man diesem Buch geben kann. Aber es wäre ja kein Buch von K.M.Moronova wenn es nicht auch noch eine spannnende Handlung inklusive zweier komplett unhinged Hauptcharaktere gäbe. Und wenn ich damals gedacht habe, dass Bunny und Bones schon krass sind - Mori und Emery übertreffen die beiden. Und das meine ich nicht negativ. Die beiden haben eine ganz andere Art mit ihrer traumatischen Vergangenheit umzugehen, als Bunny und Bones, die in meinen Augen durch ihr Auftreten auch älter erschienen. Emery ist manchmal noch recht naiv was die Welt der Dark Forces angeht. Was ja auch logisch ist auf der anderen Seite, weil sie neu in der Welt ist und sich noch nicht so gut auskennt. Und obwohl ich ihre Backstory richtig gut fand, hat sie mir dann zu wenig gezeigt, warum sie eigentlich im "Under" gelandet ist. Sie war mir manchmal einfach zu sehr Damsel in Distress, auch wenn ich es geliebt habe zu sehen, wie Cameron auf sie aufgepasst hat. Überhaupt Cameron ... der Humor, der tragische Hintergrund. Ich will nicht wissen was das über mich aussagt aber ich habe ja nen leichten Crush auf den Herrn entwickelt. Die Chemie und die daraus resultierenden Dialoge zwischen den beiden haben mir auch unglaublich gut gefallen. Es war immer die richtige Mischung aus Witzen, Anhimmeln und tiefen Geständnissen und hat beide emotional sehr greifbar gemacht. Der Cliffhanger am Ende war übrigens bodenlos, daher will ich Band 2 demnächst unbedingt starten. Das ist wieder eine Reihe bei der ich so schnell wie es geht, alles lesen will, nur um dann traurig zu sein, dass die Bücher zu Ende sind.

Ich weiß nicht was genau ich erwartet habe, aber dieses Buch hat mich absolut abgeholt. Cam and Emery are living rent-free in mind ever since I finished this masterpiece. Wer den ersten Band der Dark Forces Reihe schon mochte wird das hier lieben. In meinen Augen ist dieser hier noch so viel besser!! Ganz große Herzensempfehlung.

wirklich ein richtig gutes Buch! habe von der Autorin bereits schon Bücher gelesen. Da fiel die Wahl nicht schwer sich gleich ein neues von Ihr zu holen Freue mich schon auf band zwei ! absolut mitreißend.

Ich liebe dieses Buch es war so krass the tension the plot twist und the ending war so ein großer cliffhanger ich kann nicht abwarten das Zweite Buch zu lesen emery ist eine starke fmc und Cameron ein fierce mc with much trauma

I'm still processing this first book in the Dark Forces Duet but I can tell you I like this only because they're fictional. It's well written and I was hooked from the first page. Great is that we get the POVs from our FMC and MMC. The interaction between Emery and Cam, their banter (yes, I call that banter) and chemistry is on point. Cam/Mori is having a difficult time and with this his squat is on line. I could understand him in a better level after reading his POV and he's a deep character with his own moral, fears and hurts. Emery from the outside looks fragile and sweet but she sure takes a lot more than she shows. Her sweet and caring side touches Cam in a way even he can't understand. And this specifically made me stay all night awake. I wasn't able to put this book down nor my thoughts. It's great and the Cliffhanger in the end is OK. It's something I was expecting but still hoping it is going to not be permanent or even a lie? conclusion Love it and can't wait for its conclusion in the second book of the Duet. book description Dark.
