The Autobiography of Calvin Coolidge is the memoir of Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States, covering his life from his early years in Vermont to his presidency in the 1920s. The autobiography provides an introspective look at Coolidge's personal and professional life, his political philosophy, and his approach to leadership.
Calvin Coolidge served as the 30th President from 1923 to 1929, following the sudden death of Warren G. Harding. Coolidge became known for his laissez-faire approach to government, his belief in limited government, and his emphasis on economic growth during the Roaring Twenties.
Coolidge was a man of few words and had a reputation for being reserved, even silent. Despite this, his autobiography gives insight into his personality, his rise through the political ranks, and his thoughts on the major events of his presidency. The autobiography was written in the years following his retirement from public office and sheds light on his principles of leadership, governance, and personal conduct.
