Persephone is the goddess of spring, but without any kind of magic power. That´s why she begs her mother Demeter to allow her to live a normal life on earth amongst the humans disguised as a human herself. She allows her to do so but only under one condition: To avoid all gods on earth, especially Hades! Unfortunately her best friend wants to go to Hades´ Club with her. Right there is where Persephone unknowingly enters into a bet with him, which leads her into a contract that is impossible for her to break. While Persephone tried to free herself from her contract, the two gods get to know each other and grow closer. But not everyone is pleased by the relationship between those two gods... In my opinion, they adhered very closely to Greek mythology in terms of the characteristics and behaviors of the respective gods in today's world. It's simply incredibly fitting that Aphrodite, for example, runs a fashion and beauty line. Even though the book feels like it's 70% spice and 30% story, the story is still well executed. And let's be honest, in Greek mythology, the gods are all constantly horny anyway. -recommended for ages 18 and up*
