You might not expect a hummingbird and a hawk to be best friends, but on this small island they are the best of friends! Ruby the Ruby-throated Hummingbird and Red the Red-tailed Hawk live on a small island in the middle of a bay. Together they share adventures and solve mysteries with their island friends including Eric the Inchworm, Freddie the Fiddler Crab, Harry the Hoot Owl, and many more. Ruby's friendly and jolly nature gives him the desire to help others. Combined with Red's loyalty and dependability, the duo work closely with their island friends to solve each mystery and problem they encounter. Join the friends on their small, beautiful, and colorful island as they discover the benefits of teamwork, compassion, and loyalty. Eric the Inchworm discovers a riddle in an old book. What does it mean? Gong! goes the bell buoy one foggy morning on the small island in the bay. Ruby, Red, and their friends will have to work together to answer the newly discovered riddles. What do they mean? Where will they lead? Join the friends as they go on an adventure that will lead them to distant, and sometimes spooky, parts of their small island. In the third book in the Hawk and Hummingbird® series, J.S. Clawson takes you on an adventure with a treasure that just may surprise you!
