much better than i expected!! it‘s not judt about love but about finding yourself. the book shows how beautiful life is with it‘s good and bad sides. it tells us that we deserve love and that we should live by that.

Funny Story by Emily Henry is the kind of book that sneaks up on you. You think it's just going to be a lighthearted comedy about people navigating life, but then—BAM—it's also heartwarming, thoughtful, and hits you right in the feels, with outrageous moments that make you gasp out:"No! This did not JUST happen!" I laughed, I snorted, I rolled my eyes at the perfect amount of cringe-worthy moments—and then I immediately felt something deep and real that I didn’t expect. Henry’s skill at blending humor with raw emotion is a superpower at this point. Five stars. No question.

‚Funny Story’ was my first ever Emily Henry book but certainly not my last! This story feels like being bathed in sunlight, turquoise water to jump in and late sunsets. Do yourself a favor and read it!

One of Emily Henry's best novels yet. Funny Story is a fun and witty book from one of my all-time favorite authors. Daphne and Miles move in with each other out of a predicament they are both in. Daphne just broke off her engagement and needs a place to stay. Miles just got broken up with and needs a roommate to pay half of the rent. At first they don't seem to get along all too well, until one faithful night. After a few too many drinks, they decide to form a plan to get back at their exes. Emily Henry proves again that she just knows how to write a good romcom. Her writing charms you in a way you won't be able to forget it. In Funny Story Henry perfectly crafts the setting of the two main characters and had me completely immersed in their world. I could not put it down for even one second. Especially if you like the show New Girl you will love this book and you will love Miles Novak even more...

Emily Henry versteht, wie man realistische und nahbare Charaktere schreibt, man kann sich in ihren Geschichten wunderbar verlieren und hat das Gefühl, von echten Menschen zu lesen. Funny Story ist bis jetzt mein Lieblingsbuch von ihr. Mit viel Humor, Liebe zum Detail und ein bisschen Fake-Dating schafft sie es, einen Roman zu schreiben, in dem es um so viel mehr als nur romantische Liebe geht.
