Richtig gutes Worldbuilding: check Starke Protagonistin: check Fesselnde Handlung und krasse Plot Twists: check Man konnte gleich von Anfang an in die Geschichte einsteigen und auch die Dystopie-Welt und die verschiedenen übernatürlichen Fähigkeiten wurden gut im Laufe der Handlung erklärt. Die Protagonistin, Wren, ist modifiziert, das heißt sie besitzt besondere Fähigkeiten (u.a. Telepathie), weshalb sie und alle anderen Mods von General Redden verfolgt werden. Ihre Eltern hat sie nie kennengelernt, aber mit Onkel Jim (auch modifiziert) hat sie sich jahrelang erfolgreich versteckt und der Rebellenorganisation Uprising geholfen. Bis dann eines Tages alles schief läuft und sie notgedrungen eine Ausbildung an der Militärakademie machen muss. Gefangen zwischen lauter normalen Menschen muss Wren ihre Fähigkeiten verstecken und aufpassen, nicht dem äußerst attraktivem Sohn des Diktators, Cross Redden, zu nahe zu kommen. Das Buch ist endlich mal wieder eine gute Dystopie mit einem guten Setting und einer tollen Lovestory. Zu Beginn begleitet man die toughe Wren in ihrer Ausbildung, findet mit ihr Freunde und Verbündete und lernt sie und ihre Vergangenheit so richtig gut kennen. Im Laufe des Buches intensiviert sich dann auch die Spannung zwischen ihr und Cross und plötzlich heißt es "Achtung, Bookboyfriend Gefahr!!" Mich hat der Erzählstil durch die Bank weg gefesselt und an eine Mischung aus Divergent und Fouth Wing erinnert. Immer wieder gab es neue Wendungen und nach dem finalen Plot Twit saß ich erst einmal überwältigt da und habe mir den 5.5.26 im Kalender markiert (ET von Band 2). Neben diesen Aspekten, die das Buch richtig gut gemacht haben, mochte ich auch, wie Diskriminierung, Feminismus und Propaganda thematisiert wurden und haben so die 5 Sterne voll gemacht.

Das Buch hat mich so gefesselt, dass ich gar nicht aufhören konnte. Habe es an einem Tag verschlugen. Wren hat mir unfassbar gut gefallen, willensstark und ziemlich stur… Bin unfassbar gespannt wie es weiter geht.

This book has a strong MC and a story that hooked me quiet fast. I enjoyed reading 'Silver Elite'. It reminded me a bit of Victoria Aveyard's 'Red Queen' Series. Only that those 'modified people' are being persecuted, hunted and executed because of their powers. Mostly telepathy. I like the concept of this special 'magic' and that it is a mutation created via radioactive Biotoxin that even after 150 years causes trouble and war. It is mosty a fast paced. Some parts hit diffrently tham others and it was a wild ride. I hope you enjoy it yourself. It is not a stand alone and has a mean cliffhanger, tho. (And a sequel has yet to come.)

I think you have heard about this book by now, so I do not think it needs a big introduction. I do want to offer a little disclaimer first, though, because I saw some book bloggers getting accused: I was not paid to review this book. The publisher reached out to me in November last year, and I am so happy that they did because I really enjoyed the book. It took me a hot second to get into the world, because certain words weren’t really explained, and the world-building was kinda loose at the start, but it got better once I read a few pages in one go. Overall, I enjoyed the writing style. I could really immerse myself in the story and felt with the characters. Well, this brings me to the characters. The FMC is a strong-headed (and tbh sometimes really stupid) young woman with a „dark history“. She’s a badass. He is broody, dark and of course hot. Is this something unique and new? No! Is it an outstanding character dynamic that I’ve never read before? Also no! Did I eat it up? Yes! I can see why this book is compared to Fourth Wing because the character dynamics and the archetypes are reaaaaallly similar. I know you want to know more about the love story, so here we go. They are enemies, but they also have the hots for each other from the first interaction. So more like „horny enemies“, if you get what I mean. I enjoyed the tension between both of them and can’t wait to read more about them in the next book! Now comes the topic of the dystopian character of the book. It did not feel that dystopian to me, but the basics are there, and I think there is still some stuff to come. The plot was good, but only one of the big plot twists was really plot-twisting for me. It is obvious where the book takes a lot of inspiration from, and I wouldn’t say it’s Hunger Games – it’s definitely Divergent. If you loved the first Divergent MOVIE (yessss I mean the movie in this case), then grab this book! Regarding the whole „Who’s behind the pen name“: I won’t say anything, because if it’s a pen name, I want to respect the privacy. So why do I give 4.5 stars even tho I have a few critique points? I enjoyed my reading time very much. It got me out of a reading slump, and I was excited to go grab other books again, and that is a huge indicator for me. Conclusion If you loved Divergent, then go get this book!!

Ich finde das Buch wirklich gut geschrieben und es ist so fesselnd, das man es innerhalb von 1-2 Tagen verschlingt. Man taucht komplett in die Welt ein. Es ist spannend, es passiert viel und die Romance war intense.
