i honestly think it's so so good!! it's definitely one of my all time favorite books!! so much love for lucian & sloans storyyy and ofc having nash, lina, naomi, knox etc in there as well is so amazing as well!! loved the ending & FOR SURE cried here and there hehe:)

The book was amazing where should I start..? First we had Lucian, he was brocken bc of his abusiv father then we have Sloane a middle aged women who finally wants to settle down. The both had a past together which wasn't beautiful for both sides. Both were assholes to each other but when they finally admitted their feelings for each other ;). They were both so stubborn but I was surprised that Lucian admitted his feelings when she rejected him. It took them to long to realize. The first time they slept together: Around page 290

I was so anticipated from the start about Lucian and Sloane's Love story and couldn't wait to finally read it. i just love Lucian. I'm totally here for Lucian and Sloane as a couple! I've been rooting for them since the first book. Their backstory is super emotional and touches on some really tough stuff that no person should have to face (Look up TW for more). But all that hardship just made their connection even stronger, even if it pushed them apart for a while. They eventually found their way back to each other because deep down, they always knew it was meant to be. It was always about them. I’ll be their fan forever.

Jetzt ist der dritte Band an der Reihe und man muss abschied von den Charakteren. Sloane & Lucian könnten auf den ersten Blick nicht unterschiedlicher sein. Doch das Schicksal schreibt seine eigenen Pläne .. Sloane & Lucian: Sie ist Bibliothekarin und keine Frau, die sich alles gefallen lässt. Er ist der aalglatte Businessmogul, der sein Leben der Rache an seinem Vater verschrieben hat .. Der Schreibstil ist angenehm flüssig und wird aus der Perspektive von Sloane, aber auch von Lucian erzählt. Der Leser kann sie so beide näher kennenlernen und ihre Gedanken und Gefühle erfahren. Die Nebenfiguren kennt man teilweise aus den vorherigen Bänden. Die Geschichte hat mich leider nicht zu 100 % für sich eingenommen. Ich empfand die Chemie als genial, doch für mich war ihre Liebesgeschichte bedauerlicherweise ein Hin und Her. Sie lernen sich als Kinder kennen und durch Rückblenden erfährt man, wie sich zwischen dieser Feindschaft entwickelte. Ich sage nur Enemies To Lovers, das immer wieder spürbar war. Ich bin dennoch gespannt, was uns als Nächstes von ihr erwarten wird. Das Ende hat zum Buch gepasst und es gut abgerundet. Das Cover passt perfekt zur Reihe mit den Blumen. Fazit Ein interessantes Finale, das mich bedauerlicherweise nicht komplett einnehmen konnte.

„Things We Left Behind“ is the third and last installment of the „Knockemout“ trilogy and the book that finally gives us Sloane and Lucian’s story. That Sloane, a feisty small-town librarian, and Lucian, a big-city mogul, can’t stand each other has undoubtedly been established in the previous books. In „Things We Left Behind“ we finally learn what caused their mutual animosity and the walls they’ve errected between them slowly but surely start to crumble. I think it’s fair to say that this is the book we’ve all been waiting for. Sloane and Lucian were by no means the protagonists of the previous installments, but even so they were the most intriguing pair even then. I love that we finally get their story and let me tell you, it is as hilarious and spicy as it is dark. Without intending to give too much away, let me just say that domestic violence and the loss of a loved one are very big parts of this story and it’s heartbreaking to read about. The author incorporated these issues in a way that’s raw and touching, enraging and hopeful at the same time. I love how, despite their differences and very apparent mutual hostility, it’s rather obvious that Sloane and Lucian still care for one another deeply. I enjoyed seeing their story unfold a lot, even though I didn’t always appreciate the way Lucian went about things. Once again, there’s a criminal subplot to this book, but this time around it’s not a repetition of what we’ve already seen before, so that’s definitely a plus in my book. If you enjoy delicious banter, are a fan of the enemies to lovers and/or second chance romance trope and prefer your protagonists to be a bit older than is typical in this genre, you should definitely read this book. If you haven’t read the previous books in Lucy Score’s „Knockemout“ series, you should dive into those first, though.
