Like the first book in this duologie, I couldnt stop reading. I finished this book in less than 2 days. I hadnt had any Striegel Packung it up and reading it in one go. I liked the ending even if I think it was a little rushed and the villain didnt come trough that much sadly (wished to had seen more scenes between Cressida and Rune and their conflicted Feelings because of their "relationship").

It was just so good!

I was so excited for this book. I already loved the first one and had high hopes for the sequel. Which it totally fulfilled. The story begins sometime after the events of the first book. We are on the continent und Rune has to - yet again - hide who she really is and what she wants. Stuck between to hard fronts she initially chooses the lesser of two evils only to realise, that nothing is as it seems and her role in the (old) new world Cressida aspires to built is bigger and more dangerous than she thought. And Gideon. Gideon is trying to lose himself. Like he lost everything else. This book is heartbreaking and even tops the first one (and I loved the first one a LOT). I'm happy I've read it and recommend fullheartly. Enjoy!
