The Bridge Kingdom

This book scratched my TOG-Itch like no other in months. The FMC is fierce and pretty much is deadly, including the land. Although it also gave me anxiety and I almost didn’t finish it, because of all the tension. Still highly recommend it.

Ich weiß nicht, warum ich diese Bewertung erst heute verfasse. Seitdem ich dieses Buch vor ein paar Jahren gelesen habe, schwirrt es mir im Kopf herum und ich empfehle es immer noch gern. Es ist die perfekte Low Fantasy Romance in einem interessanten Setting. Dazu gibt es einen badass Protagonistin und ihr unterstützt eine Indie Autorin! Über den Verlauf von Danielles Karriere genieße ich noch immer zu sehen, wie sie sich weiterentwickelt.

Definitely not, which I wanted to give it 4,5 stars at first. But I just absolutely loved this book, loved the characters and I absolutely cannot wait until my order for The Traitor Queen arrives! So 5 stars it is! The writing was so enjoyable and smooth. I'll definitely check out others books by Danielle L. Jensen.

The bridge kingdom is an amazing enemies-to-lover trope packed with actions and plot twists. As I read the whole book in one sitting without getting the second book as well I now wait unpatiently. The story is round and the world had my in its fangs from the beginning. 9/10 would recommend.

Was soll ich sagen, Bridge Kingdom, ich hatte mir mehr vorgestellt und mehr gewünscht. Der Schreibstil war okay, leicht zu lesen. Allerdings auch nicht unbedingt packend für mich. Der Aufbau mit den Königreiche und den ganzen Ritualen war durchaus sehr interessant. Aber ich konnte einfach zu keinem der Charaktere eine Verbindung aufbauen. Das lag nicht mal unbedingt daran, dass ich sie nicht verstehen konnte. Aber sie haben mich einfach absolut null berührt, was es dann für mich unglaublich zäh macht. Dazu waren ein paar Gedankengänge zum stöhnen und Augen verdrehen. Weil man unbedingt es ausziehen wollte, dass die enemies lovers werden. So war zumindest mein empfinden. Dazu noch einige Klischees und dann war es einfach nicht mein Buch. Aber es muss einem auch nicht alles gefallen.
