If You Hate Me

Obwohl Beatrix nicht für Impulshandlungen bekannt ist, hat sie ihren Job gekündigt und die Wohnung gleich mit und ist bei ihrem Bruder Flip untergekommen. Aber der wohnt mit seinem Team-Kollegen Tristan zusammen, den sie seit der Jugend nicht mehr leiden kann. Aber doch ist er heiß und die Neckereien haben nun einen anderen Vibe als früher. Tristan musste früh Verantwortung übernehmen, und will keine weitere Person in seinem Leben, außerdem hat er Angst, dass ein Vertrag in dem NHL-Team nicht verlängert wird. Und doch will er Rix nicht gehen lassen… Wir folgen vermehrt Rix, aber auch Tristan bekommt seine Kapitel. Rix ist sehr strukturiert und auch Sicherheit bedacht, außerdem hat sie ein Problem mit Essen, da es früher nicht genug war. Seit Flip bei ihm eingezogen ist, macht Tristan mehr Party und genießt die Frauen, was bei seiner Bindungsangst ihm zwar entgegen kommt, ihn aber eher nervt. Da seine Mutter die Familie verlassen hat, kümmert er sich um seine Brüder. Die Sticheleien zwischen den beiden sind großartig und auch die Anziehung ist zu spüren. Die spicy Szenen sind dann sehr kinky und nehmen viel des mittleren Teil des Buches ein. Die Entwicklung der Charaktere ist gut aufgebaut und auch ihre Unsicherheiten sauber ausgearbeitet. Was mir tatsächlich etwas gefehlt hat ist die Rix-Flip-Beziehung, sie hatten fast keine Interaktion. Dafür wurden die Figuren für die nächsten Bücher perfekt eingeführt… Flip muss wohl noch etwas warten! Super Start in eine Reihe über ein Eishockey-team.

They can’t stand each other, but boy, there's tension around them. So palpable that I could even see and feel it while reading. There's a lot of hot scenes and the spice it's on a very good level. I love it, and it's clearly relatable. I like how different Rix and Tristan are from one another in their personality and how they involve as human beings, and by both POVs, it makes it easier to look into their heads and hearts. It's a great story with the one and other twist. I'm stuck with them in my head and with a very knowable bookhangover. It's like I am not ready to leave and lose them right now. I think they're so brilliantly and deeply written, which makes them so close and relatable to me that it is not only their deepness but also their evolution along the story. In the end, they've learned their lessons and could be better people than on their start. I love it from the beginning till the end. Conclusion An amazing love story with relatable characters that you'll fall in love with. It's a story about hate to love. A story with a whole package of unsolved problems that, along the story, get the protas into one ore another problem solving kind of hot scenes. The spice in this one is totally amazing. ☆5/5☆ Audiobook: CJ Bloom and Connor Crais narrate this story. I love how they give life to Beatrix and Tristian. It's easy to follow (even for a non native English speaker). I truly felt more connected to the characters through their voices. So this is a strong recommendation. No one should be sleeping on a futon that smells like Cheetos and ball sweat. But here I am, trying to get my life together. Tristan Stiles is the bane of my existence. He never wears a shirt. We can’t seem to stop fighting. He’s an arrogant playboy with a filthy reputation. Sure, I had a crush on him when I was fourteen, but that was a long time ago. I know better than to trust him. I just need to survive long enough to find a new job and get a new place. And not accidentally let Tristan rail me into next week.
