The Daydreams

This book had so many surprising twists and turns - I never knew what was going to happen next. It's such a juicy story and will remind everyone of the truly disgusting treatment some stars have been subjected to. Revisiting the series that both made and broke them gives the characters space to wade through all their mistakes, reevaluating their life and choices. Even though they're so imperfect, you can’t help but develop an understanding for these characters, who were thrust into an environment full of exploitation, objectification, judgement and lies as teenagers, just trying to survive. I think this book captures how disgusting the celebrity world can be and how it can lead a young and insecure person down a path they never intended to land on, while also being incredibly captivating and making you hunger for all the secrets to be revealed.
