    Fun to read

    Loved the book and all the stories combined and intertwined within. The book reads like someone wanted to tell a story and not just to sell a book. The concept is innovative and well executed, while not missing important clichés - in a really good and fun way. Definitely recommend.

    Loved every page of it

    Based on her super viral series on Youtube Shorts/Tiktok, Jill Bearups debut novel is a must read, even for people who already watched said series. I was skeptical at first, actually didn't really expect much, since I was wondering if the implementation of the story would be good as a book as well. Having a funny and engaging video series doesn't mean that it will be good as a book as well. BUT my expectations were far far far exceeded! I loved it so much! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to read a fantasy novel of a different kind, since this is something I haven't seen before. The crossovers between the stubborn heroine Rosamund and the just really exhausted author Caroline were fun, well written and made me want to not put this book down! What I also loved was that you just know how much Jill wanted to make her story believable, while reading. Not to mention the love interests and the development of the relationships which were super believable. I hope we will get more books from her in the future!

    A lovely book with two lovestories about two strong women

    Jill Bearup wrote a book with lovable characters that is worth reading even if you already watched the video series on YouTube Shorts or TikTok. I did watch the videos and thus was mainly interested in the story of Caroline. I did however still enjoy all the parts of Rosamund and Captain Collins' story. Caroline proved to be a quite loveable character as well. And getting two good love stories for the price of one was a steal! The use of metalepsis was very clever but also easily understandable since different fonts made it easy to differentiate between the two stories in the book. The book contains a brief mention of murder.

    Just Read Me Now

    If you are looking for a fresh, nuanced and believable depiction of a classic romance novel, this is it. The rest of the book flows well, the fourt wall breaks work, it's funny and witty, but the romance plot hit's hard. There are not that many, even highly accomplished, authors that manage to write a growing relationship between characters that feels as real and complicated and dynamic as Jill. While it started as a funny YouTube series, this is really really good on it's own.

    Awesome translation into written format

    While the printed copy is a bit pricey, the story has a great flow and is an easy read. I was really curious how the written version would work, compared with the short form video format. I'm glad to have purchased it and look forward to trying to get my family to read an English book :) The characters are portrayed realistically, while opposing typical fantasy-romance stereotypes. Meanwhile, the story is driven by the heroines goals and values with a nicely fitting romance plot.
