Ich habe dieses Buch in der Originalsprache English gelesen, da Vampire in der Literatur ein meiner liebsten Figuren sind und 'Carmilla' als einer der Grundpfeiler des heutigen literarischen Vampirs gesehen werden kann. Wenn auch 'Dracula' der bekanntere Vampirroman ist, steht 'Carmilla' ihm in nichts nach! In wunderbarer Prosa wird man als Leser ebenso in die Anziehung der schaurig schönen Vampirin gezogen wie die Figuren im Buch und auch wenn einem klar ist wie die Geschichte enden wird, ist der Weg es wert. Würde es jedem empfehlen, der ein Fan von Vampiren ist oder Horrorklassiker liebt.

who would have thought one of the first vampire books would be so sapphic
beautiful and erotic, though somewhat stunted and rushed in its conclusion
otherwise a super fun, short read, i had no idea they got down like that in the 1800s
