I loved everything about it tho. I loved how Blaise and Ares were just connected to each other from page 1 and how they had known each other all their lives. it had always been the one another for them all along. They had such heartwarming yet heartbreaking moments, which made me honestly cry my heart out. After Ares lost his hearing my heart broke over and over for their love. ("It's too quiet," he says, and that sends daggers to my soul. I try to hold my reaction in, to not think about what it must feel like to be in his position. I don't know how to reply to that. I don't know how to give him a different perspective on this. There's no way to describe losing your hearing. "You know the worst thing about this?" he calmly asks. My attention on him is enough to make him continue. "It's not about the music or the conversations around me. It's about you. I'll never hear your voice again. I'll live my entire life with a memory of it, a sound made up in my head. I'm going to forget your beautiful laugh?" He wipes my tears with his thumb. "And that's a fucking curse."
