Ein absolutes Highlight! Die Geschichte ist unglaublich fesselnd – düster, episch und voller Spannung. Besonders die Mischung aus Fantasy, Romantik und den tiefgründigen Charakteren hat mich begeistert.– ich war komplett gefesselt. Tolle Charaktere und eine packende Story, ich persönlich hab es geliebt.

It took me a while to find my way into the story. The world-building is a bit complex at first glance but easy to follow once it's more explained. So that and all the characters just swirling around in my head got me into a bit of a slump but curiosity brought me back to it. I came to love the characters and story. Nothing seems as it is and some characters I hated, have gotten a background story so convoluted I'm still not sure if I'm still supossed to hate them. Some phrases are quiet repetetive and those annoyed me a bit, but the story is well worth the little hiccups. I bought the first two books together and the third the moment i knew of it. Have fun reading this charming series.

Wow, Wahnsinn. Ein Buch von der 1. bis letzten Seite spannend. Shortcut Dianna möchte ihre sterbende Schwester retten und geht dafür einen Pakt mit dem Unterweltenboss Kaden ein. Sie wird seine Offizierin und ist den Monstern, Vampiren, Hexen etc. überstellt. Noch dazu ist sie wie er unsterblich und verfügt über große Kräfte. Kaden möchte die Herrschaft über das ganze Reich haben. Hierzu benötigt er eine uralte Reliquie die Dianna ihm besorgen soll. Diese ist jedoch im Besitz des Gottes Samkiel (Liam). Als sie ihn findet, entdeckt sie jedoch viel interessantes an ihm und sie muss ihren weiteren Weg überdenken. Eine Geschichte die mir wirklich ausgesprochen gut gefallen hat. Die Erzählweise ist spannend, frech und auch mit einer guten Prise Humor versehen. Wirklich einfach nur zu empfehlen.

the whole series in my absolute favorite and I can’t wait for the 4th one!! I love Dianna and the fact that she is a complex female character with many layers to her personality, especially since most fmc’s tend to be the same in fantasy this was so great ! I looooove samkiel he’s my absolute fav mmc and their love story is beautiful. The series keeps getting better and better with plot twists I didn’t expect at all. Amber is a phenomenal writer and i am so so happy this journey continues with characters i have learned to love so much. The world building is so great and amber makes u literally question all your morals and principles by making the traitors and enemies seem (almost) human in a sense. I sat there and was like “WTF they did smth so horrible how am i sitting here and feeling empathy for them?!” So yes this is a must read for dark fantasy lovers, I wish i could read these for the first time again

I really enjoyed reading this! FINALLY, I found a book where romance wasn‘t the main thing, I mean, of course the love story is amazing, slow burn, banter, enemies to lovers etc. BUT there also was a plot beside that, and the plot was in focus. It‘s a great book for people that like three dimentional characters with a past, a rather traumatic one I‘d like to say and a strong FMC, I really think I‘d put Dianna on the pedestal with Aelin our beloved fire breathing queen. 10/10 for me ❤️
