Rezension

"Ozawa's translation gracefully captures the author's whimsical and tender voice. Yagisawa has the right touch for lifting a reader's mood." - Publishers Weekly

"Readers will pick this up for the atmosphere of this well-established world. They will turn the last page with a deepened love for this bookshop family and how well they care for each other and their customers and neighbors." - Booklist

"Familiarity is welcome here, as Ho returns to narrate the second installment of Yagisawa's globally bestselling Morisaki Bookshop titles and instantly engage listeners already familiar with Takako and her third-generation bookseller Uncle Satoru . . . . Ho seamlessly continues the ongoing stories with an immediate intimacy, warmly drawing listeners into Takako's orbit with revealing candor and inviting sincerity. She deftly transforms Yagisawa's comforting prose, effortlessly English-enabled by NYU professor Ozawa, into emotional aural satisfaction." - Booklist

    Just like the first ...

As amazing as the first book! Cozy, bookish and cute. Perfect for evenings where you just want to read and drink a nice warm tea! I loved, that this book explored slightily different themes than the first book but still felt like part of a singular experience.

    Loss, Love and Friendship

Just like the first book, the vibes and descriptions are still marvellous. I love how Takako sometimes misinterprets the relationships around her, how she’s seeing and learning about news sides of the people around her. I really enjoyed reading about her and Wada, but I wished it just a little bit more romance. Either way I love them together and how she opens up towards him eventually despite how badly her first relationship went. All that happened with Momoko made me so sad but it also warmed my heart seeing how Takako helped Satoru at the shop when they read the note from Momoko. How it truly brought them together like nothing before.
