This book, written in Welsh, is a comprehensive survey of the poetic and musical traditions of Wales from ancient times to the present day. Robert Ellis, who wrote under the bardic name Cynddelw, was himself a respected poet and scholar, and his work is distinguished by its passion and erudition. This book includes detailed discussions of the technical aspects of Welsh verse and music, as well as explorations of the cultural and historical contexts that have shaped these traditions. It is a must-read for anyone interested in the rich heritage of Welsh language and culture.
