Das war mein erstes englischsprachiges Buch, das ich gelesen habe. Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen, der mit englischen Büchern beginnen möchte. Ich liebe dieses Buch. Vorher hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass mich ein Buch mit Fae und Politik so wahnsinnig fesseln könnte. Ich möchte nicht spoilern, also sage ich nur eins: Du überlegst, ob du es lesen sollst? Mach es:)

I absolutely devoured this book. The Cruel Prince was my first fantasy read, and it did not disappoint—in fact, it completely hooked me. I ate this book up from start to finish. The world of Faerie is dark, cruel, and glittering in the most dangerous way, and I loved how unapologetically ruthless it was. Nothing felt soft or overly romanticized; instead, the story leaned into political intrigue, power struggles, and survival. The tension throughout the book was addictive. The mind games, betrayals, and shifting alliances made it impossible to put down. Even the characters I hated were fascinating, especially Cardan—cruel, complicated, and impossible to ignore. The dynamic between the characters added so much bite to the story. As my first fantasy book, The Cruel Prince set the bar incredibly high. The writing pulled me straight into the world, and by the end, I was already desperate to continue the series. If you love morally gray characters, sharp dialogue, and a fantasy world that doesn’t hold your hand, this book is absolutely worth the read. It's hard to top such a book. I

I always get lost in the story and find such comfort in all the characters. It’s the perfect mix between enemies to lovers and slow burn. If you like fantasy you’ll love this series. It’s a perfect match for autumn.

I am completely in love with this book! The whole world of "Elfhame" is so well described, I actually want to live there! I also really like the characters and their development throughout the story. There are so many plottwists. So if you like faeries, enemies-to-lovers and hidden worlds, this is definitely a must read!

Bevor ich das Buch angefangen habe, hab ich lesen gehasst. Dieses Buch hat mich nicht nur zum Lesen gebracht, sondern auch in die Welt eintauchen lassen. Durch dieses Buch versteht man erst richtig, was es heißt, ENEMIES to Lovers zu lesen. Meiner Meinung nach ein unglaublich toller Schreibstil und selbst jetzt wo ich schon mehr Bücher gelesen hab, ist das immer noch meine Nummer 1.
