    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

    A more than justified rebellion

Loved this book even more than her former title ''The red palace''. The story features more mature themes than it's predecessor and generally has a darker vibe so please check out possible trigger warnings. June Hur is an incredible author, i honestly recommend all her books!

Love between Quick-Witted Banter and Suspense

"A Crane Among Wolves" was the first book by Jun Hur that I’ve read and I couldn’t put it down. Hur grabs her readers by the hand and pulls them directly into 1506, Joseon Dynasty, South Korea. She manages to merge the story of a young woman who is searching for her older sister, a young prince who is trying to save his people from the tyrant king with a thrilling hunt for a serial killer all the while staying as accurate to historic events as possible. I’ve inhaled it within a day and can only recommend it to anyone who is a fan of quick-witted banter between the love interests and a time-travel into the past. The beautiful diction and well-written chemistry between the characters made this a compelling read and a new favourite.

    A very immersive read!!

This was my first novel from June Hur and I am very happy I found her work. Set in historic Korea one follows the story and investigation of two young but very different people. Based on true historic figures and events, the story is very interesting and not fully predictable. Both characters are nicely designed and I found myself rooting for them. I can highly recommend this book.
