Emergency response during the crisis period in the Northwest Region of Cameroon has had a significant impact on mitigating the adverse effects of the crisis.
Firstly, emergency response has provided lifesaving assistance to affected communities through the provision of food, shelter, and medical care. Secondly, emergency response has contributed to restoring livelihoods through the provision of agricultural inputs and cash transfers. Lastly, emergency response has facilitated the return and reintegration of displaced persons into their communities. However, some challenges identified include inadequate funding, limited access to affected areas due to insecurity, and inadequate coordination among stakeholders. It is recommended that stakeholders should address the identified challenges to enhance emergency response in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
