This is something for someone who didn't have enough of jude and (especially) cardan in the folk of the air series. We get to see some new events set after the end and some before the main series. All of them in Cardans point of view. I absolutely loved it.

After having read this Novella a few years ago, I came back for it this month for a comfort read. I am in love with the world Holly Black created with the Cruel Prince and I love this story for it's changed perspective where we learn more about Cardan and his childhood, his upbringing and very important: his feelings. It is beautifully illustrated and I would highly recommend everyone who loved the Cruel Prince to pick up this short story as well, after finishing the trilogy.
