Get hit with suspense like a rollercoaster. A boy goes missing, no one has seen anything only that there is a woman involved. That’s all the information Mina Dabiri gets when she and her team start to investigate the case. Soon they can connect this disappearance to other children who have vanished unexpectedly. Every lead she discovers leads to dead ends and time is running out for the missing children. Mina has one ace up her sleeve, Vincent Walder, the mentalist she knows from a previous case. He is her only hope of solving the issue, Vincent’s way of thinking can give the information the police team needs, and push the investigation forward in an unexpected direction. Milna Dabiri does not only have a new case on the docket but there is also her past catching up with her. A past she more or less has managed to keep out of her mind. Until now, she can’t run away from it anymore. Right from the start I had the feeling to have chosen the right book. It was worth the wait to be released. It also gets obvious very soon, that there is more than meets the eye perfectly entwined into the main plot. In this second case for Mina Dabiri and Vincent Walder, the reader gets already a broader picture of the characters involved. The authors shed some more light on parts that were left unanswered in the first book. I hope there will be more to read from those two characters soon because I see the potential for a longer series. The writing style provokes your imagination, a brilliant psychological thriller at its best.
