The Final Strife Book One of The Ending Fire Trilogy

This is an amazing world to visit! The premise, of people having different colours of blood and being divided based on that is so interesting and clever. The fact that the country is also isolated not only from other contries but also it's own history, makes for a gripping journey of discovery and reevaluation for the characters.  I love that the fmc Sylah starts out in a very dark and hopeless place and the huge contrast that lends to Anoor's situation, yet somehow these two women have a reluctant alliance and similar demons that allows for a deep friendship and then attraction to form.  This book also has a lot of political intrigue and different players that are trying to influence the reigning powers and pulling them into different directions. So if you love rebellious groups, underground operations and spy-networks, definitely try this series! I'm very excited to read book 2 soon, and not only hope to see the expansion of this amazing world, but also the development of the relationship between the two fmcs, who despite their different histories and political influences seem perfect for each other to me.
