The Selfless Act of Breathing A Novel

This book was so interesting! Not only does it jump between time, it also jumps between third-person and first-person narration.  The story is about a teacher in London who is so tired from life and weary that he decides to take all his money, travel accross the USA and once the money runs out, to take his life.  One thing I appreciated about this book was that you could feel on every page how truly exhausted the mmc was and how his thoughts would always turn negative and hopeless.  Sadly, this story wasn't that captivating to me. I enjoyed seeing the mc travel and discover things that brought him joy, but I never really got sucked into the story the way I wanted to.
