The Husky and His White Cat Shizun: Erha He Ta De Bai Mao Shizun (Novel) Vol. 1

Ich war ehrlich gesagt nicht bereit gewesen auf eine lange Story, aber nach dem ersten Buch konnte ich gar nicht aufhören. Ich bin absolut bereit die gesamte Serie zu kaufen und im nächsten Urlaub durchzulesen. Absolutely gold and totally recommend this to anyone who likes BL.

Das erste Buch der sehr erfolgreichen Serie hat mich sofort gefangen genommen! Auch wenn der Protagonist noch ziemlich viele Charakterschwächen aufweist, hoffe ich auf eine Postitive Entwicklung. Allerdings muss ich warnen, denn nach dieser Reihe wird man nie wieder sein wie vorher. Richtig guter komplexer Plot, gemixt mit viel Pain! Vor dem lesen die Content warnings beachten!

I read vol 1 and 2 in about 2 days or if counting the hours, they probably don‘t add up to 12 hours. I simply could not stop reading. The story is captivating. I can‘t help but sympathize with Shizun and „cursing“ at how obtuse Mo Ran is. The writing style is different from that of the author of GMDC. Why such comparison is because I have read some reviews comparing these two authors in the danmei genre. Both are imo great authors but with different writing style. As long as you like Xianxia and danmei, this serie is not be missed. Can‘t wait for Vol 4 which should hopefully be available in Dec 2023. I am now off to vol3 and hoping it‘ll not be a cliffhanger until I get my claws on vol4.

I'm pretty new to the world of damnei (I've only read, like, 6 or 7 novels of the genre) but I can tell that this was a ride. The book is not as sweet as the cover suggests and feels pretty dark sometimes. It's a rollercoaster of emotions and im absolutely here for it! The story ranges from humor, to angst and the slow burn romance keeps you in it's grasp until the very end. The pretty illustrations are just another compelling argument to dive deep into this unique fantasy world!!
