Deeplight A Novel

There are few writers who use words as masterfully as Francis Hardinge. She frequently manages to create deep, meaningful children’s fiction that can be read and enjoyed by youngsters and adults alike — and Deeplight is no different. I have never ever seen deaf people so fluently integrated in the worldbuilding and I am still in awe thinking about it. This is how you write disabled characters, toxic friendships, power-hungry adults and pure, meaningful friendships. No matter your age, you can dive in deep and learn from this book in the most entertaining way possible. I love this book so much, I can’t even express it. If you’re only going to read one more novel this year, make sure it’s this one. I promise it’ll be worth your while.
