Soon, Salama must learn to see the events around her for what they truly are-not a war, but a revolution-and decide how she, too, will cry for Syria's freedom.

Ein unglaublich schön geschriebenes Buch. Trotzdessen, das es eine Fremdsprache ist, ist es trotzdem so verfasst das es trotz komplizierten politischer Situation leicht verständlich. Ich kann dieses Buch wirklich jedem ans Herz legen

Das ist das beste Buch das ich seit langem gelesen habe! Ab der ersten Seite fühlte ich mich mit Salama verbunden und entdeckte durch sie, was Hoffnung und ware Stärke wirklich bedeutet. Ich lernte Syrien kennen, auf eine ganz andere Art als es uns die Medien zeigten und kann die Melancholie, versteckt in den alten Geschichten, fast schon greifen. Ich habe geweint und mitgefühlt und vermisst und war immer wieder zutiefst erschüttert, als ich die schlimmsten aller Kriegshandlungen im Buch googelte und feststellen musste das sie wirklich so passiert sind. Danke das es dieses Buch gibt und danke das ich so viel lernen durfte, über Syrien, über die Menschen und über mich selbst.
