Life most of the times is far from a get rich quick scheme, but more a curvy road of endurance

Bewertung aus Zofingen am 04.02.2023

Bewertungsnummer: 1873361

Bewertet: Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

What often only is memorized of the success stories of others, is just the plain quantity of success, less of what the man or woman had to go through for finally being succesful, what he or she had to endure. The years in which Bill Gates and his wife lived on the attic of his parents in law before hitting it big. And what about the billions of dollars Warren Buffet collected? Well he wasn’t what you call poor through the greater part of his life, but those billions of dollars he earned mainly after his sixty-fifth birthday. The author talks about compound interest and for that you need time. In the book she gives advice on how to be a long-term thinker in a short-term world and she illustrates her advise with examples from her own personal experience and from her work as a consultant. I found it an interesting read, as a guide for a long term goal getter, but also as a support of the moral, the latter being an essential tool against a lot of frustrations getting along.
