The Family Library Of British Poetry Part 1: From Chaucer To The Present Time, 1350-1878 (1878) is a comprehensive anthology of British poetry compiled by James Thomas Fields. The book is divided into several sections, each covering a different period of British poetry, starting from the works of Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century and ending with contemporary poets of the late 19th century. The collection includes well-known poets such as William Shakespeare, John Milton, William Wordsworth, and Alfred Lord Tennyson, as well as lesser-known poets from various historical periods. The book also includes an introduction by the editor, providing context and historical background for each section. This anthology is a valuable resource for anyone interested in British poetry and the evolution of the art form over time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
