Invent and Wander The Collected Writings of Jeff Bezos, With an Introduction by Walter Isaacson

In his introduction to the book, Walter Isaacson refers to the founder of Amazon with the words of Time Inc. CEO Don Logan: “… Jeff Bezos is not in the internet business. He is in the customer-service business”. The book for the main part is the official edition of the annual shareholders letters of mr. Bezos from 1997 up to 2019, in which he explains the thoughts and strategies at Amazon. The letters are an immensely important, smart and accurate description of how Amazon got away from a risky start-up to a - for some threatening - huge moloch. The book is more of an extra for folks, who read books like ‘The everything store’ by Brad Stone. Apart from that there are some more private thoughts and sayings of the multi-billionaire in a Part two in the book. Over all, I found it an Interesting read. For all, because - according to Bezos -, it is still ‘Day One’.
