Harrow the Ninth The Locked Tomb Trilogy, Vol.2

This Book had me in an absolute chokehold! One page leaves you completely confused, the next puts all the pieces together and slowly the whole story starts to make more and more sense. Yes, the book is confusing. And yes, it exacts much from you. But it is so absolutely worth it! Great writing, epic fights, the dark and eerie setting and the ridiculous humor made this book a worthy successor to the first volume of the series.

wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. How do you describe the experience of reading this book? Disorienting, harrowing (hah), hilarious, devastating, life changing. It's now one of my favorite books and Harrwohark has firmly cemented herself as one of my favorite characters in anything ever.

One of the most tense and exciting scenes is where the characters have soup. I went into this book pretty much with Heart Eyes and I did have so much joy reading it. (Not the content itself. Everything is a shade of dread, grief, and love. But reading and discovering secrets was fun.)

Muir's writing is amazing - I don't know any other writer who can write a sentence that is simultaneously fun, horrifying, tender and disgusting.. This book is an emotional rollercoaster and I couldn't get enough of it. Definitely planning a re-read and looking forward to "Nona the Ninth".

A wild ride! Just as good as Gideon the ninth. Both books have you completely hooked, but also confused as hell the entire time. Defined one of my favorite books of all time.
