Between the lines of Dvarsh, An Introduction lurks a portal to a hidden world. In the Stikmanz universe, humans remember the Dvarsh as small, magical beings of legend. Most don't realize they still move quietly among us. As the title suggests, Dvarsh, An Introduction is a practical reference that surveys their culture and language. Features include a short essay on the Dvarsh people, a history of their tongue, presentation of the writing system, essential grammar, and Dvarsh-to-English/English-to-Dvarsh dictionaries. However, Dvarsh, An Introduction is also a book with a deeper plan. Its parts resonate with each other to evoke worldviews, lifestyles and the social dynamics of an imaginary people. The text combines fiction, brain teaser, role playing, conceptual art, and language creation into a unique, participatory work. At once a toy and toolkit, Dvarsh, An Introduction unfolds differently for each seeker who enters. Conlangers, gamemasters and co-creators of every stripe, heads up!
