The Winter of the Witch

What an end.. I dont know what to do with myself! This story changed directions so many times and yet it all makes perfect sense. I love the turn it took in the end and how this was not just some happy little fairytale with an all-is-well ending. I felt the end was believable, there could not have been no losses.. And yet. How it all hurt. Love the story, the characters, the writing.. Simply incredible! I want more!!

Ich finde die Idee der Trilogie ganz interessant, da sie auf russischen Folklore basiert. Was mich aber unglaublich gestört hat, war, dass die Autorin sich nicht mit dem russischen Folklore auseinander gesetzt hat. Sie hat Wesen und Figuren aus den russischen Märchen meiner Kindheit komplett falsch dargestellt hat, neues dazu erfunden hat und sich "neue russische Wörter" ausgedacht. Ich habe diese Trilogie bestellt gehabt, weil ich mich für russische Folklore (und generell russische Geschichte) ziemlich interessiere. Wem also die Richtigkeit egal ist, dem wird das Buch sicherlich gefallen.
