Con este objetivo se aportan opiniones sobre qué debe entenderse por Autopublicación, así como las características que perfilan a este proceso. El estudio también hará referencia a un conjunto de atributos que deben acompañar a los textos científicos, tales como el aviso legal, el ISBN, el depósito legal, entre otros; en todos los casos se da a conocer la importancia, utilidad u obligación legal relativa al uso de estos elementos. El tema referente a la firma del contrato de edición por parte de los autores es también abordado en el presente ensayo, ya que por norma general estos actores deberán externalizar, bajo esta modalidad de convenio o pacto, una amplia gama de servicios editoriales que deberán ser aportados por empresas competentes y reconocidas a un precio que resulte afrontable. This academic essay develops the subject of Self-publishing as a valid and quality way to publicize scientific texts in book format, considering that in these cases the authors aspire to be taken into account by their peers and viewed with good eyes by part of the specialized public. With this objective, opinions are provided on what should be understood by Autopublicación, as well as the characteristics that shape this process. The study will also refer to a set of attributes that should accompany the scientific texts, such as the legal notice, the ISBN, the legal deposit, among others; in all cases the importance, usefulness or legal obligation regarding the use of these elements is disclosed. The issue concerning the signing of the publishing contract by the authors is also addressed in the present academic essay, since as a general rule these actors must outsource, under this modality of agreement or pact, a wide range of editorial services that should be contributed by competent and recognized companies at a price that is manageable. Likewise, some edges of the aforementioned legal document are outlined and conceptualized.
