Das Mädchen in diesem Buch hat wahrscheinlich zu viel H20 geguckt und aufjedenfall Daddy issues. Dennoch ist sie cool und sehr interessant. Aufjedenfall was für cool/wired girl book Loves.

As a reader, every now and again you stumble upon a book that you just know you'll keep thinking about for the rest of your life. For me, this was one of those stories that I simply cannot forget. We follow a girl who not only feels like an outcast in her hometown, but also believes to be a mermaid ever since her father, who disappeared into the sea, told her so. This book deals with themes like growing up, grief, depression and falling in love, all while leaving you wondering what's real what isn't. It's melancholic and grim, moving without being cheesy and unbelievably poetic. Samantha Hunt's writing style is unique, metaphorical and so poignant that I frequently had to stop reading and marvel at her talent. I will never not be raving about this absolute gem of a book, if I could give it ten stars, I would!
