If you love queer love stories with heart but that doesn't why away from tackling serious topics, this one's for you! Written and drawn by a Black comic artist, Check, Please! is a wonderful webcomic about a gay hockeyplayer and his time at university. Despite being in a rather toxic sport, his teammates are incredibly supportive. No toxic or abusive BS from his friends and team but all around love and help. The love story develops slowly and tenderly so when the two main protagonists finally get together, it's not only believable but sweet and amazing. You're rooting for everyone here. As always, I absolutely love the side characters and would read comics about them, too and despite loving the main protags, I really, really wanna read novels about the side characters and their (canon) ships. A wonderful graphic novel by a talented and funny artist with amazing artistic and story telling skills!
