What If It's Us

This charming YA novel is a must-have for every teenage romantic who enjoys books like "Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda" - it's cute, uplifting and all too relatable.

Ich hatte am Anfang des Buches einige Bedenken ob der Kauf nicht doch ein Fehler war..jedoch hat sich das Gegenteil ganz schnell bewiesen. Alleine dass in zwei Perspektiven geschrieben wird, zeigt verschiedene Einblicke in die Handlung, was ich einfach super finde. Außerdem liebe ich die Witze rund um Broadway musicals. Also falls sich hier her eine Fan von Hamilton/dear evan hansen/ usw. gefunden hat, dann sollte er/sie dieses Buch definitiv lesen. Durch den Humor und die Liebe macht dieses Buch wirklich gute Laune und lässt einen nur dahin schmelzen, also eine 100% Empfehlung.

Es war ein sehr unterhaltsames und mit Herzen geschriebenes Buch, besonders Musical Liebhaber werden dies auch so sehen. Hier verfolgt man eine romantisierte Begegnung, die aber zu einer realitätsnahen Beziehung führt und den gelegentlichen Tagträumer und Liebhaber der Liebe selbst sicherlich erfreuen wird.

What if it’s us was such a comfort read. Exactly what I needed it to be. Both characters are really awesome in their own way. Ben is more the cool kind of guy on the outside and someone with a struggle on self-confidence on the inside. Arthur on the other hand has no filter and just says was on his mind. And sometimes these moments make me laugh a lot. This is a happy story of two guys who where searching for another in New York City. And I was the happiest girl on earth to get some tiny vibes of the city, ever since I miss being there so much. Honestly, if there wasn’t a second part announced, I would be super sad right now, leaving those guys behind. Someone who searches, always could find something to critic on a story, but I am not going to look for those points in that novel. Because I felt soooo good while reading it. I really loved everything about it and I sure will grab this book whenever I need something cozy.

Ok, I absolutely loved this book! I have to admit, that I was kind of scared to read it, because "simon vs the homo sapiens agenda" is one of my favourites. In addition the reviews weren't as good as I had hoped them to be. But I'm really happy, that I did it anyway. In the beginning it took me a while to get into the story, but after I got a feeling for Ben and Arthur, I got obsessed. Especially the ending was awesome and refreshing. Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera are a great team. I'll definitely read their next book.
