    Buch (Gebundene Ausgabe)

    The suspense got lost.

Three young women meet for the first time at college, the three couldn’t be more different, yet a deep friendship develops. They would do anything for each other, they vow to always be there for each other, no matter what. Twenty years later this vow comes to the test when one of them dies under suspicious circumstances. There are many reasons why they love and hate each other even as adults but are those reasons enough to commit a crime? This novel is separated into two parts, the first one was more to my liking as it described all the fun and suspenseful details about their college life. The second part is more about the present but the author keeps going back and forth in time to give more explanations. I found that style interesting. What I didn’t get along with were the characters themselves, I constantly asked myself why those three girls stay together when they don’t like each other. The dissatisfaction of Aubrey and Jenny against Kate took up too much room, and the suspense was lost along the way. I give three hearts to the idea and plot, which I found interesting and promising but the characters didn’t convince me.
