In this third case, Joona Linna is investigating a murder at a home for troubled girls. A girl has been brutally murdered and arranged unusually. After the last novel left me with some unanswered questions about the main character, I finally got some answers to understand Joona Linna better. In a way, I like his brisk attitude while investigating, but he’s got also another side, a side he doesn’t want to be looked into. But with time, he can finally confide and come clean about his past. Because of these revelations, I enjoyed this book greatly. A good laid-out plot is a bit lengthy though, the crucial evidence could in my opinion have come much sooner. It was more of a back-and-forth with the investigator more or less on his own, battling more than just one fight. A nice sequel and craving more Scandi crime.
