The Motherfucker with the Hat had subsequent regional productions at Theaterworks in Connecticut, San Francisco Playhouse, and Artists Repertory Theatre in LA.

Stephen Adly Gurigis' Between Riverside and Crazy won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
Guirgis also penned the widely acclaimed whimsical drama The Last Days of Judas Iscariot.
Guirgis is a former co-artistic director of LAByrinth Theater Company.
Guirgis has received the Yale Wyndham-Campbell Prize, a PEN/Laura Pels Award, and a Whiting Award and a fellowship from TCG in 2004.
