From the very first lines, the story immediately draws the reader in and is difficult to put down. Cat is a strong female character with sharp wit and confidence, and her dynamic with Griffin adds many entertaining moments while the story still delivers magic, tension, and action. The world-building, especially the presence of gods and different magical abilities, gives the story an epic feeling without making it overly complicated. It is easy to become immersed in the narrative and keep turning the pages. What is surprising is how rarely this series is discussed. The Kingmaker Chronicles, beginning with A Promise of Fire, truly deserve far more recognition and are, in my opinion, highly underrated. ✨

Eines der besten Bücher die ich gelesen habe! Eine packende und spannend geschriebene Geschichte, bei der es einem schwer fällt das Buch beiseite zu legen. Die Figuren sind ebenso gut gestaltet.
