Wenn man den Film schon gut findet wird man das Buch genauso lieben.
Es ist komisch und tragisch zugleich. Die junge Hauptfigur Mattie Ross wird einem ebenso zu Herzen wachsen wie der versoffene Marshal Rooster Cogburn oder der eitle Texasranger Mr. LaBoeuf. Es war der erste Western, der aus der Sicht von einem Mädchen erzählt wird und deshalb einfach zu den Klassikern gehört. Originell und gut. Unbedingt lesen!!
