Born at Midnight / Shadow Falls Novel Bd.1

Mit dieser Reihe hat die Autorin eine wunderschöne Welt erschaffen. Ich mochte alle Charaktere, vor allem Miranda :) Es ist sehr ausführlich geschrieben und man kann sich prima in die Geschichte und die Charaktere hineinversetzen. Die Cover sind total schön und werden von Buch zu Buch besser :D Der Nachteil ist allerdings, dass man hinterher die Fingerabdrücke sieht, wo man das Buch gehalten hat. Also niemals vorher die Hände eincremen! Ein bisschen gestört hat mich, dass so viel wiederholt wird. Am Anfang jedes Bandes wird nochmal gesagt wer wer ist und was gerade so passiert... Wenn man auf der Suche nach einem packenden Roman ist, sollte man vielleicht erstmal ein anderes Buch probieren, denn wirklich Spannung baut sich hier eher nicht so oft auf und wenn löst sie sich schnell wieder auf. Wer Fantasie und Lovestories mag, dem kann ich das Buch auf jeden Fall empfehlen! :)

Diese Serie ist einfach wunderschön! Nicht nur die Story ist klasse,sondern auch die Charaktere sind gut beschrieben und man kann sich wunderbar in sie hineinfühlen. Das schöne an diesem Buch ist einfach,dass man so mit Kylie mitfühlen und ihre Entscheidungen nachvollziehen kann,dass man mehrmals das Bedürfnis hat zu weinen und wiederum zu lachen. Ich empfehle jedem dieses Buch,der Lust hat eine Reihe mit Witz und Charme zu lesen,außerdem denke ich,das es ein Buch ist,das für Fans von House of Night geeignet ist.

Die englische Originalausgabe des beliebten Jugendbuches "Geboren um Mitternacht" ist großartig. Im Original kommen die Gefühle und Gedanken des Hauptcharakters Kylie fast noch besser zur Geltung. Die Figuren sind toll beschrieben, der Schreibstil passt perfekt zu dem Buch. Auch wenn der englische Jugendslang mir anfangs einige Rätsel aufgab ist die Geschichte leicht zu verstehen. Ich ziehe das Original der deutschen Übersetztung vor und freue mich schon auf das nächste Buch.

I don't want to spoil about this book, but I have to mention some aspects here and there. This book is about Kylie, who will be send to the Shadow Falls Camp for troubled Teens, since her mom thinks she is acting weird. She always sees a man in an uniform who follows her. She is upset and can't understand why her mother is sending her to the Camp. She is dissapointed and sad because before she will be send there, her grandmother dies and her parents got divorced. When she arrives at the Camp she notices that everything is weird because the teens there have supernatural powers. Werewolf, faes, shapeshifter live there. So when I first read about it, I was like "This sounds cool and interesting". And it was! I liked the way the author put all kind of fantasy creatures in one camp. What I don't understand was that everyone in this camp was described as a "goth". It was like everyone was wearing black. The main character Kylie was always overwhelmed with emotions, because she felt like crying in every second chapter which was really annoying after a time. Another part I liked about this book was the love triangle. The two boys were both intersting in their own ways. The one a Fae the other a werewolf. What I missed in this book was the ACTION part. I had the strange Feeling that except the Camp and get to know each other nothing really happened. So I rated this book with 3 stars.
