Svenonius will be very involved in the promotion. He is truly an icon in the underground rock world and this new book, like his previous ones, should have a very long life. The author also tours nonstop, which will help. In addition to his touring, we booked over 30 book events for his last release, and will do a similarly ambitious book tour for this essay collection.
Akashic is very tied into the punk/indie music world and have had great success in this area.
Publicize to major dailies, weeklies, literary publications, alternative publications. Major radio and television push.
Targeted outreach to music publications (print & online); strong focus on alternative radio stations and NPRs.
Akashic's promotion will have a strong social media component.
Giveaways on Goodreads, LibraryThing, and through Advance Access.
