Murakamis first forays into penmanship mark the beginning of an introspective and simple, yet elegant style. On a surface level these two short stories are about the lives of two ordinary young men and their obsessions and/or vices. I especially enjoyed the introduction he wrote, where he explains his writing process and how he grew into his unique style. Definetly worth a read.

Wenn man bedenkt, dass dies die ersten beiden Bücher von Murakami sind, hat es mir wirklich gut gefallen. Auch sehr "no plot just vibes", was ich mag. Es fühlte sich an wie etwas, das ich schreiben würde.
