Vivian Broughton follows the theoretical and practical work of Professor Franz Ruppert, the German psychologist who has devoted his work to understanding the dynamics of trauma. Vivian brings her own perspective to Ruppert's work including extensive thoughts from a psychotherapeutic perspective. However the book is not overly academic and aims to inform anyone, professional therapist or not, on the general topic of the impact of trauma on the individual and society.
