I don’t think I‘ve ever had a 5 star book followed by a 5 star book in a trilogy before. After Assassin‘s Apprentice, my expectations were high, and they were not only met but exceeded. Kettricken truly is a Queen as they ought to be, and Verity also has quickly become a favorite, and I cannot wait to see him again. What an incredible continuation of Fitz‘s story. Once again those last few chapters set a crown upon an already magnificent story. Truly a worthy second book.

The mainplot unfolds slowly, but for me it worked and the end was definitely worth the wait.
Would also make a good TV-Show.
Honestly can´t think of anything I disliked about the book.
Great read, will definitely read again.
