Curiosity Thrilled the Cat A Magical Cats Mystery

Kathleen Paulson leaves her home and job to move to Mayville Heights, Minnesota where she is hired to oversee the renovation of the library. The townsfolk welcome her and Kathleen makes plenty of new friends; After a walk by an abandoned house she is followed home by two strays who have come to stay. Owen (catnip fan) and Hercules (Barry Manilow fan) soon become part of her life and turn out to be that bit more too... Renovations at the library are very slow so Kathleen decides to seek help from the handyman Oren. So she early one morning goes to goes to the Stratton Theatre where instead of finding Oren she finds the body of guest conductor Gregor Easton on the piano seat. Who appears to have died from a blow to the head. A note supposedly written by Kathleen puts her under suspicion for a while and she has enough to deal with already with slow workers and the occasional accident (or two). Curiosity Thrilled the Cat is a whimsical charming cat caper starring a intrepid amateur sleuth and two magical cats who cat fans will take to their hearts. The magic is not overdone and the love interest is kept well in check. I found it to be a thoroughly good and entertaining read.
