Makers of British Botany: A Collection of Biographies by Living Botanists is a book written by Francis Wall Oliver and published in 1913. The book is a collection of biographies of prominent British botanists, written by their contemporaries who were also botanists. The biographies cover the lives and achievements of these botanists, including their contributions to the field of botany, their discoveries, and their impact on the study of plants in Britain. The book is divided into chapters, each dedicated to a different botanist, and includes illustrations and photographs of the botanists and their work. The book provides a fascinating insight into the history of botany in Britain and the individuals who helped shape the field. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of science, botany, or the natural world. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
