London People: Sketched From Life is a book written by Charles Henry Bennett and published in 1863. The book is a collection of sketches that provide a vivid picture of life in London during the mid-19th century. The sketches are based on the author's personal experiences and observations of the people he encountered in the bustling city. The book covers a wide range of topics, including the lives of the poor, the middle class, and the wealthy. It also includes sketches of street vendors, beggars, and other colorful characters that were a common sight in London at the time. Bennett's writing style is engaging and descriptive, and he uses vivid language to bring his characters to life. He also includes historical and cultural references that provide insight into the social and political climate of the time. Overall, London People: Sketched From Life is a fascinating glimpse into life in Victorian London, and it remains a valuable resource for historians and anyone interested in the history of the city. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
